We have been spending the last three days in Liguria, my home region. I almost forgot how beautiful and unique it is.
The one thing that is not that great continues to be the weather. Strong winds and low temperatures do not make for a pleasant combination. Today we have to add the rain. Still, we have had opportunity to visit friends and family, and it’s been wonderful.
My camera has been resting all the while, so here are just a few pictures I’ve taken, mostly on the way here from Tuscany.
Entering Liguria from Tuscany
Our first Ligurian lunch; Pansoti with Walnut sauce and Troffie with pesto
Genova - Nervi, the seashore pathway
Baby wild boars at play with mom and dad
Early evening in Recco, near Genova
Genova - Pra', the undisputed basil and pesto capital of the world
Coastline of the eastern Italian Riviera
The fishing village of Camogli
The window and the cat are painted
Children at play in Camogli
Camogli
The Church of San Rocco
Genova; the Boccadasse neighborhood
Tomorrow we are heading to Milan for our Friday flight back home. On the way we’ll stop and visit with three other friends, and possibly do some sightseeing, weather permitting. In any event, I will post at least the short pictorial recap of our entire trip, if not an additional post. Glad to have had you tag along for the past seven weeks. Ciao!
Thanks a million to you and Diane for the wonderful day we shared.
